Welcome to Primal Minds' Guidebook! This guidebook is one of the most important things that you will read on this entire site. It will give you the low-down of how we run things here, and it should help simplify everything for you! If you look to the left of this little box of information, you will find the links with all of our site information! If you click those links, it will bring you to the information of your desire!

I will be staying here the whole time, so if you need to take another look (or just want to) feel free to!

We would like to note that you DO NOT need to read all of the information! The links under the name "Needed" are what are most important when looking throughout the site! Quests & World Events

Our quest system, much like our magic system, is set out a lot like DnD, World of Warcraft, Rift, etc, games. You pick up the quest from an NPC (which can be found in the board where the quest is posted). Once you have picked up that quest, you have 1 week to complete the quest. Quests can range from easy to difficult for completing. The harder the quest is, the better the rewards for completing them. Below you can find a more fleshed out guide to questing.

Quests

Quests have a Questgiver. S/he will give out the quest to the wolf or group of wolves that wish to take it. Each week to two weeks there will be a new quest. Some may require more than one person to participate, while others will be solo quests. If the players are struggling with completing the quest, then the Questgiver will give out hints for the players. Certain quests require certain things. Below you may find some requirements that may be stated in the quest:

  1. Age 4+
  2. Certain Gender
  3. Battle Experience
  4. Hunting Experience
  5. Size
  6. Species/Breed

Rewards will be based off of how difficult the quest is. Difficult quests can have rewards that range from 1 big item, to three small items. A few items that can be known for sure to be in the quest are as follows:

  • +100 mana
  • A unique spell
  • Power level upgrade
  • Accessories (up to 2 max)

Questing Rules

Like everything else, questing also has it's own rules. Please follow these guidelines/rules if you have picked up a quest or wish to in the near or far off future.

  1. All OC and IC rules apply
  2. No powerplaying, godmodding, or metagamming when you're questing.
  3. Do not assume things. They must be stated in bold, italics, or underlined. The Questgiver will give a response if it is bold, italics, or underlined.
  4. No fighting among each other. This is an automatic disqualification.
  5. Do not use Spells & Magic unless it's stated that it is allowed.
  6. Do not ask staff for any hints.

Before a roleplayer can claim their characters reward, the thread must be exited. If they do not have -exit- at the end of their last thread post, then you cannot claim your characters reward. You must also wait 3 OC days before posting or joining another thread as some quests may be high risk. High risk quests will have it stated in the title.

Be as realistic as possible when it comes to questing. The Questgiver will give hints and such, but always make sure to keep your characters reactions to their character and realistic. Make sure the characters work together, even if they have their differences. After all, if it's a high risk quest, all characters could be killed. If you do not reply to the thread within 5 OC days, then your character is out of the quest. The skipping rule stated in rules is also effective in quests.

*Staff will not be giving out OC hints or any help with this unless there is an error or glitch. If there are no replies to the quest within one week, then the quest will be ended and the thread closed*

World Events

World events are uncommon events that may happen throughout all the lands of Antaeus. These events may be something like a plague, locusts eating all the vegetation, inclement weather, etc. When there is a world event, staff will post a notice. Then you can make threads with the [WORLD EVENT] Tag in the title.

World events have no rewards for completing. They're there to cause hardships, drama, and etc to the wolves lives. Sometimes they can be deadly and many wolves can die in this. Depending on the situation can depend on the event. For example, if there has been peace for a long period of time, staff might add a world event that can cause drama between two packs or the angels and demons. Another example would be if there is overpopulation. Some events may be deadly, and that gives you the chance to kill of any characters you may not want to roleplay anymore.

Certain events, however, may have positive things about them. For example, there may be a huge fire and a wolf may have to use their Water power level 3, which is wave. This gives that wolf the opportunity to practice a power and level up your mana.

Some examples of world events that will occur in the future on site can be:

  1. Plague
  2. Hail, Blizzard, hurricanes. All at once.
  3. Fires
  4. Famine
  5. Rabies/Diseases
  6. Rumor of kidnapping a child from a pack
  7. Flooding

Those are just a few world events that may occur. They will not occur in that order, and there may be some that don't even happen, but rather get replaced by a different idea. World Events are completely random, and there is no way to time when they will occur.
