WELCOME!

Welcome to Primal Minds' Guidebook! This guidebook is one of the most important things that you will read on this entire site. It will give you the low-down of how we run things here, and it should help simplify everything for you! If you look to the left of this little box of information, you will find the links with all of our site information! If you click those links, it will bring you to the information of your desire!

I will be staying here the whole time, so if you need to take another look (or just want to) feel free to!

We would like to note that you DO NOT need to read all of the information! The links under the name "Needed" are what are most important when looking throughout the site! That area will have all the information that you require to register your character! Once you click that link, below this box all of the information will appear!

Once you complete your reading and you still have questions, please look to our FAQ or PM a staff member with your questions!!!

Happy reading!

RULES

1. Primal Minds has zero tolerance for disrespect. We expect every member and staff member to treat each other with kindness. We understand that not everyone may get along, but we do expect everyone to act like adults.

2. By proboards law (and proboards is our host) you are required to be at least 13 years of age to join the site.

3. We are an account-per-character site, meaning that each character must have its own account. We require that you create an out of character (OOC) account before creating your first character account. OOC accounts need to have the same name as your chatbox name. This is called your Alias, or OOC name.

4. While we do not have a word/post count requirement, we do recommend that you post match your RP partner.

5. Unacceptable behavior will result in suspension or even banning. Unacceptable behavior would include, but is not limited to, rude comments on race, gender, ethnicity, etc.

6. For mature content, you must either have a [M] in the thread title or a warning at the beginning of a post. When breeding you MUST fade to black.

7. When roleplaying, you should follow simple etiquette. This includes following the posting order, keep IC to IC, and follow the rules.

8. We do not have a limit on the amount of characters you may have, but it is required that you post once in a two week timespan with all of your characters for them to be considered active.

9. Do not steal any codes, art, etc. You are required to credit the artist or photographer in your application. If it is found out that you intentionally took photography or art from another person who did not give you permission, you will be banned.

10. Plagiarism adds on to the above rule. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. This goes for images, site content and even the written work. If you have stolen any content and we have found out, we will contact you. If you continue on, we will contact your host and have you shut down. This is serious. Even if the words are slightly altered and we can still tell it is from OUR site, we will take immediate measures to make sure it's down.

11. God-modding, power-playing, or meta-gaming will not be tolerated. If you do not know what this is, please refer to this guide..

12. Your character may not kill another character without a valid reason. If your character wishes to start a fight where killing may be involved, let staff know so that we can deem it valid or invalid. Staff does take into consideration your characters personality type when doing this. (Staff will make a post in the thread).

13. Private threads are allowed, but they may be crashed within reason. If it is on a land your character owns, then the leader or high ranking member of that land may crash the thread.

14. You may only write in first or third person point of view.

Tribes

Tribes are the equivalent to a wolf pack, however they may have a different dynamic as opposed to the traditional one. Tribes usually consist of non-related wolves that have banded together to become a single unit. Members of a tribe are extremely pack-oriented, this meaning that they think of their tribes well-being first instead of their own or anyone else's. They are not easily conquered, unless their leader is weak and/or extremely subordinate.

How to create a tribe
1. In order to be qualified to make a Tribe you must have two completed threads. This is easily achievable by posting in the roleplay forums. Completed threads contain at least 10-20 posts. We have this rule so we know that you are going to keep up with your Tribe via group threading (hunts, meetings, exploration) and information (new members, taken ranks, etc.)

2. You must have 5+ characters willing to be in your Tribe. Gaining followers is easily done by posting and threading with said character you want in your tribe. This completes the Post Count rule as well

3. Once you have your 5+ followers, ask an admin via PM to start a claiming thread. You must include your Tribe's name, hex code (#123456), and the names of your followers, including your own character. Once you get the okay (admins will pm you back), start your claiming thread in whichever land you'd like to claim as your Tribes base. Be sure to put the tag [CLAIM] in your topic title so others know!

Once you've completed your claiming thread, the Tribe leaders are required to create a topic in the BLANK forum. In the reply PM, an admin should have sent the Tribe template code. Use said code to set up your information. Once the thread is up, you're all set!

Factions

Factions are like mini tribes, but not as official. They are usually small groups of friends or family, and they're typically closed off to outsiders. Factions cannot claim land and have no heirarchy. Factions have no set place and roam the land, loosely following a single (or multiple) herd of prey.

There is a small post count of 30 posts to be able to create a Faction.

You must have at least 3+ members willing to join your faction, excluding yourself. Please be sure to take note of who is in your faction. Once you have met the requirements, it's time to make a Tribe Request the template is located here
