Welcome to Primal Minds' Guidebook! This guidebook is one of the most important things that you will read on this entire site. It will give you the low-down of how we run things here, and it should help simplify everything for you! If you look to the left of this little box of information, you will find the links with all of our site information! If you click those links, it will bring you to the information of your desire!
I will be staying here the whole time, so if you need to take another look (or just want to) feel free to!
We would like to note that you DO NOT need to read all of the information! The links under the name "Needed" are what are most important when looking throughout the site! That area will have all the information that you require to register your character! Once you click that link, below this box all of the information will appear!

FAQ
Are you a wolf role-play?
➤Yes, currently we are just a canine roleplay. We have our own unique species that can be found under breeds. Maybe in the future we will bring feline-like creatures, or others, but for now we are strictly canine.
Can I create a hybrid?
➤No, hybrids can only be born in RP ^^ so until some wolves get their romance on, you can't have one. Feel free to stalk to adoption thread, however, for when one comes up!
Where's the application?
➤Unlike most sites, Primal Mind's character application is actually your characters profile. In order to get accepted, you must have all the needed character fields such as appearance and personality filled in. This should be done when you register. Once you complete this process, you must then go to the board Character Pages and post using the template provided. Staff will then go over your profile to make sure everything is correct. If there's anything wrong with it, staff will PM you the problems.
Where do I track my experience and whatnot?
➤You track your experience in the same thread as where you posted on Character Pages. Once staff replies to your thread saying your accepted, you're required to post once again there to track all of the important information in whatever manner you see fit!
Does my character have to have magical abilities?
➤No, they don't. You're character can just be normal like normal wolves in the wild.
What is the difference between Unique Spells and Spells?
➤Spells are fit only for the category they are in. An example of a spell would be Lesser Spiritual Help in Abjuration. Unique Spells are for the elemental magic only. These are like whatever element they are listed to be related to, but outside of the regular magic pool. They use more mana than the levels, just as spells do. An example of a Unique Spell would be Blizzard.
Does my character have to have unique coloring?
➤Yes, as the coloring and breeds are unique to Primal Minds themselves. There is no "normal wolf" on PM, and if someone mentions it in roleplay, the wolves would most likely think "What in tarnation?"
I don't like my characters design, but my application has already been accepted. Can I change it?
➤No, once your character has been accepted, there is no way that you can change how he/she looks. In most cases, you can just create another character that you want to look like that.
I don't understand the magic system, can someone help me?
➤ Of course! Everyone is different when it comes to learning something, so if you need help understanding the magic system, feel free to message one of the creators, either Kaili or Aylni . They will be more than welcomed to assist you in trying to explain it in a way that helps you understand!
Is Otech based on Earth, or a different planet?
➤Otech is in another dimension of Earth. In this dimension, humans have yet to make their appearance (and who knows if they ever will?) and it is strictly run by the Gods and Canines.
Can I be a regular wolf instead?
➤No, on Oetch you will need to pick a species of wolves that live on this planet. Your wolf can be "normal" without any powers or abilities however.
Are there any other kind of canines available to role-play?
➤No, currently we just have wolf species of Oetch that you are allowed to role-play. Later in role-play we may add different kinds of canines available to rp such as a Oetch type of coyote.
Do I need to make an OOC account?
➤Yes, you'll need to make an OOC account. It doesn't have to be your first account but it should at least be the second or third. It's best to make one ASAP simply to get it out of the way, one less thing to do. You'll need your OOC account in order to role-play.
Is there a limit for how long I'm gone before a challenger takes my tribe or rank?
➤Yes, if a leader is absent without putting another character/rank in charge while they are absent and they don't tell us that they will be absent, by saying so in the absent board, then after 2 weeks of the leader not posting then one of the highest ranking wolves will need to take over the leadership position or the tribe will get disbanded. If you are not the leader of the Tribe and have gone missing it is up to the leader of the tribe if they wish to demote you, this should be done IC and can be stated in the rules of your tribe's official thread.
How do I role-play, what's power-play, god-modding, etc.?

➤First off you should read the rules then the newbie guide.
Can I kill another character?
➤The only way you can kill another character is either with staff permission or if you and the roleplayer of the other character come to an agreement. When issuing a fight of death, staff must first review the reasoning behind why you want to kill another character. Then staff will post in the thread if the reasoning is valid or not. If it is not valid, you must change the fight type. If it is valid, you may proceed with the fight.
How Many Characters Can I Have?
➤You can have as many characters as you can keep active.
I don't see a question I'm looking for how can it be answered/added?
➤Simply post your question here (Click me) and it may be added into the FAQ! If you want an answer ASAP then simply pm a staff member or ask them on the cbox if they're online.
How do I switch themes?
➤The only way you can switch themes is by having a registered account on Primal Minds. Once you register, go into your profile, edit it, and go to settings. There, you will see a drop down box that says "themes". Choose your theme there and save your settings! Once you reload the page, the new theme should be there! You an also change your theme by using the PBN bar at the bottom right of the site. Just click on the big orange T and all of our themes should show up.
What are the avatar sizes?
➤The profile picture avatar, aka the smaller one, is 100x100 while the larger hover image is 200x300. It's best to use the link for the profile picture rather than uploading it.
