WELCOME!
Welcome to Primal Minds' Guidebook! This guidebook is one of the most important things that you will read on this entire site. It will give you the low-down of how we run things here, and it should help simplify everything for you! If you look to the left of this little box of information, you will find the links with all of our site information! If you click those links, it will bring you to the information of your desire!
I will be staying here the whole time, so if you need to take another look (or just want to) feel free to!
We would like to note that you DO NOT need to read all of the information! The links under the name "Needed" are what are most important when looking throughout the site! That area will have all the information that you require to register your character! Once you click that link, below this box all of the information will appear!
Once you complete your reading and you still have questions, please look to our FAQ or PM a staff member with your questions!!!
Happy reading!
Breeds
The world of Oetch has six of its very own breeds, and each is unique in their own way. They have their own quadrants of the land and they have adaptations that help them in such a way. Below you can find the breeds of Oetch.
*Note on wings*
How high you can fly with wings is determined by your weight and body build. The smaller your weight and body build, the higher you can fly. Below is the list of heights based on body builds:
15 feet for lanky and slender
11 feet for average
7 feet for fit and heavy
Please note that you can jump from high places and fly as well, but the wolf will most likely get as close to as 20 feet to the ground before leveling out. Treat this as chickens, as that's how we based our flight height. The heavier the chicken, the smaller height they can reach.
*The listed attributes are common to the species, but that doesn’t mean your character has to abide by those guidelines. Definitely feel free to mix and match however you please. Although, keep in mind that the colors are the only thing you must follow breed specifics for!
Aibirn
Aibirn are the nature canines of the world. They are tall and stocky, with their necks longer and more curved towards the head than the rest of the breeds. They have long legs with the normal paws of a wolf. Their tail is very long, reaching up to three feet on some of the smallest of their breeds. They have antlers on the top of their head and some even have vines wrapped around their body. Their colors range from forest greens to fall browns, yellows, reds, as well as oranges. Example

Cervos
Cervos are the smaller and lighter canines. They tend to have short frames that are thin and sleek to the look. Their fur is thin, giving just the right amount to keep them warm when the weather gets chilly. They do not do good in the winter time, and if they live in a region that experiences winter, you can typically find that they drop like flies. The Cervos range from shades, meaning they are typically grey, white, and black with little to no color (such as pink or yellow, etc). They are the hunters of the world, their bodies being fit to run quickly, but not for long distances. Their jaws are large and powerfully and probably the biggest thing on their body. Example (minus the horns)

The Servus are the rouges. They are typically small and sneaky with low set shoulders and the smallest species period. They are assassins, trackers, anything that can hide themselves or murder. They are manipulative and cunning. Think of them like the fox. They have shorter necks than the rest of the canines and everything about them is miniaturized except for their legs. They all have some sort of catlike feature, whether that be the eyes or cat markings. Their coats are sleek and soft to the touch, making them very adaptable to hiding (after all, hair poking everywhere doesn't help anyone). They are typically savage and show no mercy to anyone, as well as socially inept due to the fact that they tend to spend more time hiding and killing than socializing. Example

Lenoi are the healers of all the groups. However, they can do anything else, but most of these creatures tend to be sweet and gentle. Their heads are small and very pointed, almost like foxes. They have large eyes and their torso and low set, with their hips being higher than the rest of their body (minus the head and neck). The tail is long and thin, and typically they have a metal band to keep the hair all together so that it's not all over the place. The fur on their chest is long and thick, giving them the appearance of being menacing, but they really aren't. Some of them have wings and some of them have gills to help breath underwater. Example

Their hind ends are raised slightly taller than the rest, but their shoulders level with that. In between, the back is slightly slumped. They have small heads and necks and on their neck they have a "mane" of hair. The hair is so thick, you can't tell where it ends and where it begins usually on them. Breeds
Each wolf on Oetch is separated into one of the 11 classes. Although none of the classes are seen as "superior" there is one that bring with it a sort of mortification. Most wolves who are placed in the Stigma class do not wish to be in it however, some take pride in being different and seem to love this class. A Stigma class wolf does not fit into any of the other 10 classes and is a sort of misfit.
The Class System is used to help place each wolf in a certain category. Wolves with certain classes may not take up a common job or rank within a pack and can chose a different path in life. These classes help a wolf find it's strengths and weaknesses as most wolves within the same class have similar weaknesses and strengths. Choosing to become something that isn't common for a wolf with its certain class may prove difficult but there is always a way. Stats show what a wolf, in its certain class, usually has more of its stats in a certain field.
Warrior
This is the fighter class. These wolves are usually agile and most are not very big or very muscular. These soldiers usually find packs to fight for and become the army. Many of them take on other ranks within packs, as loners, they usually do whatever and can usually survive on their own.
Common Species: All.
Stats: Agility and Strength
Guard
These wolves are usually large and muscular, as it is their duty to place themselves before those they protect. They are also usually very vigilant wolves.
Common Species: Servus
Stats: Strength and Endurance
Shaman
Skilled in the art of herbs, these wolves create medicine and try everything they can to heal their patients. Some are said to be able to speak to spirits and sometimes influence both good and bad spirits. Shaman often also practice divination, or "the practice of seeking knowledge of the future or the unknown by supernatural means". Many can accurately predict the future or see prophecies, depending on the individual. Well experienced shaman can "see" the past(regarding that subject) simply by touching an object or individual.
Common Species: Lenoi.
Stats: Intelligence and magic
Hunter
Many different builds of wolves reside in this class. Although many cannot take out large prey themselves, in groups they concur. Some may be the best at planning the hunt, while others may work their best in tiring the prey or inflicting injuries to slow down the prey. There are so many brains at work here that most place themselves in "groups". Such as the planners, chasers, attackers, ambushers, trailer, and herders. Most wolves fall into two or more "groups". What always makes a successful hunt is collaboration, cooperation, and teamwork. The leaders of a hunt do not yell out orders, each wolf usually knows what they're to do in different situations. The head of the hunt usually starts, disbands, and finishes the hunt. Although not all heads of the hunt finish off the prey by delivering a "fatal bite". Most of the pack will begin to eat even if the ungulate or other prey isn't dead. Once the prey is down or caught it will be eaten alive, most of the time. It should be noted that undulates are dangerous and shouldn't be approached carelessly it is very rare for a wolf to take down one alone and head on is even rarer. A wolf's only weapon is its mouth it has nothing else other than its brain and limbs to defend themselves by evading attacks. A single kick from an ungulate can break bones, dislocate them, or end a wolf's life. Example of the wolf vs Buffalo.
Common Species: Oleka

Messenger
Usually, these wolves are sprinters or have a lot of stamina, they're lean. They have an excellent memory and can recite a few paragraphs without any mistakes. Most prefer to stay out of fights but they are brave in the face of danger and can usually keep their cool. Every piece of secret information should be safe with them, so you can say they'll be able to keep your secrets secret if you tell them any.
